A historical view on the epic plan to turn Osa into a city for 6,000 people, develop a railway and metal industry. A telling of the extraordinary story of Fossekompani, who, in 1912, started the construction of a hydroelectric power plant. In the roughest area of Hardangervidda, under harsh conditions, many kilometers of tunnels were constructed, including a vertical shaft of nearly 1 km inside the mountain. After bankruptcy in 1923, the project was halted, and then resumed during WW II under German occupation, but abandoned again within 2 years. Ultimately, none of the many projects were completed.
