Hardanger Basecamp is a resort with several Mongolian yurts, different sizes form 2 persons up to 10 persons per yurt. Breakfast is included in the 100 year old Café. Every yurt has a roofed fireplace. The Basecamp is situated at the fjord, surrounded by steep 1 km high mountains. Hardanger Basecamp focuses on bringing people back and closer to nature, and offer a range of workshops and activities from making fire, edible plants, prehistoric cooking techniques, bushcraft and survival courses. Kayak, bike, boat and fishing equipment for rent and guided hikes and excursions with their own transportation possible.
HOTEL B&B & COOK
Private yurt, part of a complex of two yurts separated with an entrance room with space for hanging up clothes and storing shoes. All furniture is self-made. Both yurts share one large fireplace with seats for 15 people. The yurt includes bunk beds, table with chairs, heating, bed-linen, towels, electricity and a shared wardrobe. The yurts are nicely decorated with reindeer- sheep- deer and moose skins and natural accessories. There is no Wi-Fi in these yurts.
“HOTEL B&B & COOK”, is a concept of renting a room like one would in a hotel. Breakfast is included, and other meals can be bought in the cafe. You are allowed to prepare your own meal at the fireplace with self-catered food. They provide a box with cooking accessories, cutlery and fire making set. Firewood and workshop making fire is included. (min 2pax, min 2 nights) ...
Daily housecleaning service, meaning beds are made, fresh towels are brough in if wished for, trash bins are emptied and firewood and water are refilled if needed.
